Why do people always assume childfree people came from ';broken homes';?

Because they're judgemental and ignorant. They can't judge others they don't know. Why do people always assume childfree people came from ';broken homes';?
I have researched this subject a lot. I also know a lot of childfree people, including myself. I wrote some of my college term papers on being childfree. The truth is some came from broken homes, and some did not. Some grew up poor and some did not. Some had lots of friends and some did not. Some did drugs and some did not. But one thing stands out highest amongst the childfree: Almost every childfree person I ever met had to raise a younger sibling or cousin. Yup, pretty much everyone I know, that is childfree because they were done parenting at about 15.

I also noted that many childfree people had a lot of pets growing up, so they learned to attach themselves to animals more so than humans, and most childfree girls didn’t like dolls when they were young. There also is some connection between being an “A” student and being childfree.

As for why people think we all came from broken homes…. Well, I just think the concept of being childfree is so foreign to them that they can’t grasp it.

Good luck, on your research, if that is what you are doing! Why do people always assume childfree people came from ';broken homes';?
Some of us decided that we are not cut out to be parents.

Some of us were ';latchkey kids'; and know that any of our kids would probably be dealing with the same stuff.

Some of us decided that our marital partners are already our children and we are at ';critical mass'; already, and don't need the additional work and stress of rearing a baby.

This type of conclusion takes a lot of conscious thought and soul-searching to arrive at. There are a lot of people who indiscriminately breed without ever giving thought to actively parenting the kids. You can't put a bowl down on the floor for a kid like you can dogs and cats. It takes a lot.
They're being judgemental and idiotic.
'cause theyre dumbasses.
never thought of that before...but now that you mention it...it sorta makes sense ya know?
They don't think ';outside the box';.
i dont think that way
